Navios Maritime Holdings, Greece, has recently taken delivery of a newbuild Capesize vessel. The ‘Navios Antares’, a 169,059DWT vessel, was delivered to Navios on January 20, 2010 from a South Korean shipyard.In addition to this, Navios has agreed to acquire another newbuild 180,000DWT Capesize vessel under construction in South Korea. The vessel is scheduled for delivery in the second quarter of 2011 and is secured by a twelve-year charter for a net daily rate of US$27,431. |
